My home internet died and i dont have the funds to get a new service. I figured since i am already paying for unlimited internet on my phone and it has a usb modem i would just use that for my home internet. I connected it to the computer and everything works fine. i called up US Cellular and they said it wouldnt cost anything more to use the modem as my home internet. they upgraded my internet package to make it more suitable for this as well. So everything was going fine and i decided to search online to see if other people were getting charged for this even though the provider said it wouldnt cost anything, and i found mixed results. So, does anyone know for sure if it will cost more? please help. fast info would be appreciated so i know if i can keep using my phone and that im not racking up a bill for my usage
US Cellular will allow you to use a Smart phone aka Blackberry like that. It's called a tethered modem and they charge $15 a month for it. You can not use the Tritan as a modem for a computer if you're caught using it they will charge you .49 per mb for your usage. So for example if you did 5 gb an average usage you'd get charged $1960 of overage.
