RADEON HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 AGP VGA DUAL DVI TVO L-RETAIL is it a good grpahics card for gaming?
I am going to buy the RADEON HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 AGP VGA DUAL DVI TVO L-RETAIL and if anyone else has got it can you tell me if it is a good for gaming
For gaming I strongly recommend nVidia over Radeon. It produces more raw power for higher frame rates. While Radeon may arguably produce better renders, It is by far Inferior in speed.
Many gamers and 99% of games released will choose nVidia. I currently use a nVidia BFG GeForce 9800GTX and it is extremely powerful for it's price. I hear you can get a EVGA one for $220 on NCIX if you live in Canada. Not sure about Newegg for US users. (But I reccomend the BFG one although it is about $100 more.)
That's my reccomendation for gaming. All-in-all, nVidia = powerhouse gaming, Radeon = Design and high resolution renders
Edit: However, If you've already made your purchase, that card would be the best Radeon card I would recommend, and it will still produce good gaming. If you haven't, Check out the nVidia cards first.
