Hello Friends, i have a question about sata raid..
I connect my sata HDD in slots of sata port(RED COLOUR)(4 Ports). But i found black colour sata port named as SATA RAID1 but it is not near of other sata port(red colour). & one port look like sata port but in Black Colour named as SATA RAID is located back of CPU(near motherboard USB Ports).
Why they ports are black & named SATA RAID & what uses of these ports.
But four red colour sata ports named "SATA". in which my SATA HDD are connected
Different colour because they are handled by different chips, usually the red by the motherboard southbridge and the black by an separate addon chip. Check on the motherboard manual or just look at them and connect the boot hdd (the one which will have the os) on sata0 from the southbridge.
