When is it acceptable to go over your bosses head?
I have worked for this company for nearly 9 years .I always in the past received a glowing evaluation, until this last one. My boss says what a great employee I am which differs from the evaluation. It resulted in me losing pay. I know that it was to take points off in order to cut my pay. Should I go over her head and report this to someone with more authority?
That's part of the way things are done today, unfortunately. Companies are getting very shoddy with the way they do reviews and salaries. I personally have not had a merit review in 6 years, and was told its because of my performance, yet, on the last performance evaluation, he rated me as a 4.5 out of a possible 5.
