found my old hp notebook, issues with the internet?
apparently, my sister said her laptop never worked but i turned it on today and it works fine, except the internet. it has a DWL-G650 AirPlus Xtreme G Wireless CardBus Adapter. the card doesn't light up or anything, but on the bar on the bottom of the computer screen, it shows bars with an X through it. it says "DWL-G650 AirPlus Xtreme G Wireless CardBus Adapter NO CARD FOUND" is the card broken i guess? i found the disc in it, tried to reinstall it, nothing worked still.
i also have cable internet, so i have wifi and all the computers in my house get it from the dlink we have, how can i get this computer to use the internet from that dlink without any wires?
Yeah, I would start at the card, and maybe that is what she meant. Some folks, when something breaks, they just say the whole thing broke. As long as you know the wifi is good, then it is either the driver or the card. Since you reinstalled, it isn't the driver.
