Where can I find a replacement laptop DVD burner (or combo) that has its connectors in the center of the drive
I have an acer travelmate 4500, for whatever reason, it's connectors are at it's center (when all replacement drives I see have their connectors at a side.)

1. Contact Acer, they will almost always be able to sell you a replacement.
2. You can also (if your skillset allows it) pull the dvd drive or use the device manager to determine the model number of the drive and simply do a google search for that model of drive.
3. Newegg.com is a good option to check. They carry a wide selection and have a lot of photos so you know what you are getting.
4. You might also consider just using an external USB2.0 DVD burner instead. They make some very small ones these days, but the convenience factor depends greatly on your intended use. I'm just mentioning it as something to look into if interested.
