85,000$ cellphone bill?
Now when I first heard about this story, I was like I got to read about this, because theirs not enough talking in the world that would make me rack up a bill like this. However, upon further review, I learned it was because a man misunderstood his phone contract. He used his phone as a modem, but didnt know he had to pay extra to do that. I guess he figured that came free with the contract. Hooking it up to his computer and using the browser on their. It was a 10$ a month phone contract, but got to 85,000 dollars. The company did not contact him to tell him that his bill was spinning out of control. (which they should have called him and told him your bill is sky high, and that he needed to do something about). I guess the moral of this story is, read the fine print before you sign anything----especially a contract.
The guy is from Canada, so hes dealing with a canadian phone company.
Holy hell! Feel sorry for that guy. Luckily my cellphone service provider will shut my service off if I go over $150 a month. Which sucks if I do it on purpose,( which isn't likely ) but is good in situations like that guy's. Wow. that sucks.
