Transmit/receive audio/video without a cable?

Hi,
Yes there are transmit/receive gadgets to transmit audio/video without cables. But what i am looking for is a simple transmit/receive system (no digitization, no compression/decompression stuff) for real-time video transfer over few centimeters (< 6cm at the most.)

I attempted this to make use of mutual inductance. I tried to do that by attempting to connect the video output of a cctv camera with few turns of winding wire on a ferrite ring for a transmitter. For receiver, i used a similarly wound ferrite ring to connect with TV. This set of ferrite rings are separated by a distance of 3cms in air. I can hear many people laughing out loud at this (:-:

Am i missing on something? Is that because output from CCTV (non-modulated output...?) is not suitable for transmission over simple induction arrangement?

You need the input and output to be on the same ferrite core for this to have a chance of working.

You also need a ferrite that is rated for operation up to 3-4 MHz, which is the upper frequency of baseband video.

The only way this has a chance of working is if you take the video and modulate a RF signal (or possibly an IR signal from an IR LED) and have an RF receiver and demodulator on the other end.
