I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. (4.0 / St 6) I replaced the plugs, wires, ignition coil, dist. cap, and the thing inside that spins around the distributor cap.
It rolls over great.
It has 70,000 miles, ran excellent, then just wouldn't start after sitting a week.
Also, there is power from the coil when disconnected from the distributor, but when I put the test light to the end of the plug wire, the test light comes on for a second and goes right out.
You cant use a normal test light for the plug wire. Make sure its compatible for plug wires first. (30,000 volt). if you got spark, could be a fuel delivery problem , or a bad sensor which might require a scan for codes.. (the spinny thing in the dist, is the rotor),, Good luck!!
