How do I Setup a Printer Network?
My mom wants to buy a new wireless printer so that our laptops can print from any where in the house. We already have a printer which has an old dial-up port(I think so it can send fax), and a usb type-B port. Is there any way I can connect the printer to our router? We also have a desktop that the printer is connect to now. Can I setup a network to route through that desktop and to the printer? I rather just have it connected directly to the router though. Thanks in advance.
Absolutely you can do it by connecting it straight to a router and everyone has access to it or through the existing setup with the printer connected to a computer.
To connect the printer directly to a router, you'll need a print server to attach to the printer:

Here's a link to a Microsoft site that explains how to setup and share your printer over a home network using XP and another web site that explains it a little differently with the printer attached to a computer:

Here are some good links that go into detail about how to share a printer in Windows Vista that have good instructions and pictures too:

Best of luck.
