Connecting to Xbox LIVE using my PC?
I was told numerous places I can connect to X-box LIVE using my Linksys Wireless adapter, my PC, and my Xbox...

I took something like looks like the image above (but black) and I plugged it into the back of my Xbox & the back of my computer. They go in fine. I went to Network Connections and made it so the connection can be shared for my Local Area Connection. Now there's two computers stack up in the task bar with blue screens, and a yellow dot going left to right...As if its connecting...But its been like that forever!
So what'd I do wrong? I can't connect to Xbox LIVE as the moment...USING THIS METHOD what am I doing wrong and how do I fix it? Check back for details a few minutes after answering

Ok first Linksys sucks for xbox period. second if you just have 1 desktop computer and your xbox hooked up you dont need a router (see instructions below #1) If you have a laptop and are using the laptop as a wireless connection you need it (see #2)

Run the CAT5 from your modem to your internet in on the desk top and another to your network out to your xbox. go to #2 skip step 0.1

0.1 Hook up your Xbox and laptop using a CAT5 line.
1.Click START
2.Click NETWORK
3.Click NETWORK AND SHARING CETER (blue area at top)
4.Click MANAGE NETWORK CONNECTIONS (blue area left)
5.Right click on the wireless connection
6.Click PROPERTIES
7.Click the right tab
8.Make sure both boxes are checked
9.Restart the XBOX and connect
