Is the picture better over HDMI or VGA?
I always choose the video games I buy that are not console exclusive for my PS3 since I have a HDMI hook up for it on my home theatre system. The thing is, I enjoy playing multiplayer games on my 360 more (more friends, better teamwork/communication, more comfortable headset, achievements...) My 360 is however, very old and doesnt have an HDMI port so I use vga for it which still hooks into my surround sound so my question is, is CAN THE VGA CABLE CARRY OVER A 1080P SIGNAL TO MY TV which is a samsung magnolia. If it cant, is the picture noticably better over hdmi?

(btw, the main game in consideration is BF bad company 2 which is the best shooter yet to come)
VGA CAN carry HD signals. 720p over VGA is very common.
1080p is trickier.
a) Xbox360 may not be able to output 1080p over VGA
b) Your 1080p TV may not even accept a 1080p signal over VGA
If your TV is smaller than 42", you may not even see a difference between 720p and 1080p.
Since you have all the component, why don't you try it?
